Chris is a business attorney and litigator with experience helping businesses in both private practice and as Corporate Counsel to a large franchisor with over 4,000 franchisees internationally. He has handled commercial disputes for clients in state and federal courts around the country in matters ranging from basic contract disputes to multi-million dollar “bet the company” lawsuits. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was the C.I.O. for an Internet Service Provider in Buffalo, NY.
Chris teaches as a adjunct professor at Regent University and currently sits on the board of IPPD (Institute for Personal and Professional Development) and the Radiance Foundation. Chris is a graduate of the 2019 class of LEAD Hampton Roads. He was named a 2016-2020 ‘Rising Star’ by Super Lawyers magazine, a distinction received by only 2.5% of attorneys in Virginia. Chris was named a 2019 Legal Elite by Virginia Business Magazine.

Recent Wins♦ In September 2018, Chris reversed the tides in a seven figure lawsuit against a Virginia Beach restaurant owner, defeated plaintiff's claims, and obtained a jury verdict of $255,500 for the defendant as counter-claimant. The Virginia Pilot reported the story here.

♦ In August 2017, Chris obtained a $3.8M jury verdict on a tortious interference claim for a Chesapeake government contractor. Virginia Lawyers Weekly reported the story on August 28, 2017 here, and later reported it as the largest jury verdict in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2017.
